What is Single Sign-On What is Single Sign-On

Single Sign-On (SSO )

Single Sign-On (SSO) enables a user to log in once and gain access to all participating systems without being prompted to log in again. This will grant access to your email, student records, course information and class schedule.

Your SSO username and password is your ID number and network password.

Important Do's and Don'ts

Do choose a strong password. For information on creating strong passwords click here http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/passwords-create.aspx

Do change your password at least once every semester or if you believe your account as been compromised.

Do sign out of your browser when using a public computer. Sign out means clicking on the 'Sign out' link at the top right hand corner of the my.uwi.edu portal. Closing your web browser does not sign you out!

Don't share your password with anyone!

Don't leave your desktop unattended. If you must leave, lock you desktop by doing the key combination Ctrl+Alt+Delete.

Why didn't SSO work for some of my applications?

SSO may not work if you do not have Financial Clearance or if you are not registered for any courses for the particular semester. If you believe that you should have access where the system is not allowing you to, please contact the Helpdesk at 927-2148 or visiting http://support.mona.uwi.edu

Resetting my password?

This process varies from campus to campus.

The process for the other campuses will be added soon.
